Hello friends! Today, we bring you an important piece of information. The Government of India has launched a special scheme for workers in the unorganized sector called the PM Shram Yogi Mandhan Yojana.

Under this scheme, workers aged between 18 and 40 years, whose monthly income is less than ₹15,000, will be eligible to apply.

This scheme is a contribution-based pension plan, where beneficiaries will need to contribute a fixed amount every month based on their age. The special part is that the central government will also contribute an amount equal to the contribution made by the worker. After reaching the age of 60, workers will receive a pension of ₹3,000 per month under this scheme.

  • Those who are already registered under EPFO (Employee Provident Fund Organization), ESIC (Employee State Insurance Corporation), or NPS (National Pension Scheme)
  • Workers aged below 18 years or above 60 years

Note: This scheme is voluntary and is only applicable to eligible individuals. Its main objective is to provide financial security to workers in the unorganized sector during their old age.

PM Shram Yogi Mandhan Yojana: Application Process

To register for the scheme, follow the steps below:

  1. New Registration
    • Go to the service section and select the New Enrollment option.
    • Click on Self Enrollment.
    • Enter your mobile number and click Proceed.
    • Enter the OTP and move forward.
    • Select Enrollment and choose PM Shram Yogi Mandhan Yojana as the scheme.
    • If you have an e-Shram card, click Yes.
  2. Fill Personal Information
    • Enter your e-Shram card number or UAN number.
    • Enter your date of birth and Aadhaar number for verification.
    • Your name and gender will be automatically fetched from Aadhaar.
    • Enter your email ID and mobile number.
  3. Enter Address Details
    • Select your state, district, and PIN code.
    • If you are from the Northeastern states, select Yes or No.
  4. Fill Other Information
    • Your occupation category will be automatically selected.
    • If you are registered under any other pension scheme (NPS, ESIC, EPFO) or an income taxpayer, select Yes or No.
    • Accept all Terms & Conditions and click Submit.
  5. Bank and Nominee Information
    • Your bank details will be automatically fetched.
    • Enter your IFSC code, bank account number, and account type.
    • Enter your nominee’s name, date of birth, and relationship.
  6. Upload Form and Make Payment
    • Upload the form with a digital signature.
    • Pay the first installment online.
    • You can use credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI for payment.

Once this process is completed, your registration will be successfully done.
